How do I find your shops?

Can I hire just a single costume?
Yes, as well as corporate clients, Mad World Fancy Dress Costume Hire welcome the individual customer requiring costume hire.

How much is the hire price?
Prices start from £30 and up, Wigs from £10 and up, Hats and boots from £10 and up per item.

Do I need a deposit?
As we don't take a cash deposit, all hires must be secured with credit or debit card details as security against loss or damage. (Loss and damage calculations are set out by shop staff upon hire).

How long is the hire period?
All of our hires are for one week. This allows people to pick up a costume a few days prior to the event and return the following week without having to rush.

How far in advance do I need to book a costume?
This is entirely up to you. Some people book and pay for fancy dress costumes months in advance and the costume invoice is filed and ready to prepare and get ready a week or two before the event. as we have so many costumes there is always something in stock for all, this means some people leave it up to a few days prior to the event or even the day of the event.

Can I hire via mail order?
Yes, all you need is to provide some sizes for us and we will check to see what options you have and we will have it sent out to you. Sizes needed:

Can I cancel a costume?
If the costume is cancelled 8 days prior to the evnet date, then there is a 50% cancellation fee. Up to and including the 7th day prior to the event, no refunds will be made.

What is the best way to find a costume?
The best way to find that one special costume is to visit one of our superstores and speak to a member of staff, who will assist with your requirements. So, pop in to see us and enjoy!

Don't have the time to visit us or return your costume?
This is not a problem as we also provide a delivery & collection. Just give us a call and indicate the type of costume you are looking for. We will take all the necessary personal details in order to provide a costume which will fit you perfectly. The costume will be sent to you and collected from you after the event by our couriers. There will be a small charge to cover the cost of carriage. If more than one costume is involved, there would be a saving on the carriage costs. If you require a costume that is not listed, please ask as we are constantly adding to our already vast range. Don't forget we are here to assist. So any queries, please do not hesitate to call us.

Have you ever wanted an original costume personalised to reflect your own personality for your next Function, Exhibition, Conference or even for that very Special Occasion? We have a professional seamstress who can transform your ideas into reality. Should you require a quotation or further details, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Throwing a Fancy Dress Party? Are you eligible for our Free Costume offer?
Should you decide to hold a Fancy Dress Party, simply visit us at Mad World and we will: Show you a selection of party invitations. You can choose the most appropriate invitation for your particular event. We can personalise the wording required. You then give our sales assistant a list of guests you wish to invite together with their addresses. We will send out a personal invitation to all your potential guests. There would be a reference on the invitation regarding the services of Mad World Fancy Costume Dress Hire. The replies to the party invitations would obviously come directly back to yourself. We will also give you, the party organiser one.

Free Costume
For every 15 fancy dress costumes booked through Mad World Fancy Dress Costume Hire by your guests, you are entitled to one free costume of your choice. Mad World will pay for the cost of supplying the invitations and envelopes and also pay for the postage. Completely Free of Charge!
